The valley of flowers is a one of the most beautiful valley in Uttarakhand. Every year thousands of people visit this site. It is rich in varied flora and fauna. It was declared as the National Park in 1980 and it is now one of the UNESCO world heritage site. This pushed Valley of Flowers on the bucket list of visitors. This mystical valley has always attractive place for nature lovers.
How to reach the valley of flower
You can arrive at Haridwar by train, Bus or Cab from Delhi . Next, you can take a local cab from Haridwar and arrive at Govindghat within 8 to 10 hours. Govindghat is 295 Kms from Haridwar. Fromm Govindghat, you can take a local transport and reach Pulna Village, which is located just 4 kilometers away. There is not allowed Cab so you will have to take local transport only. Once you arrive at Pulna Village, you can trek 10 kilometers to reach Ghangaria. You can also hire pony or helicopter to arrive at Ghangaria directly from Govindghat. Upon reaching Ghangaria village, further you have to cover next trekking of 10 to 15 kms to finally reach to Valley of Flowers.
Valley of Flowers Trek Opening and Closing Dates
The Valley of flowers will be opened for tourists and trekkers from 01 June and closes in October end. Entry opens at 7:00 AM to 02:00 PM and after 1:00 Pm tourist start to come out from garden. Finally, valley of flower closes at 5:00 PM.
Entry Fee
INR 150 for Indians and INR 650 for foreigners for a 3 days pass and INR 50 for Indians and INR 250 for foreigners for each extra day.
